Imperia is in the West of Liguria. It is 38 km from Monte Carlo, 40 km from the Côte d’Azur and approximately 100 km from Portofino.
The surrounding area has truly unique characteristics, with a blend of picturesque beaches on the coast and vast olive groves that are internationally renowned for the quality of their Taggiasca olives. Dotted between them are expanses of fragrant maquis shrubland, while the mountains are covered with chestnut, oak, larch and fir trees. The inland areas are full of enchanting medieval villages, each of which has its own original characteristics, traditions, dishes, folklore, magnificent monuments and artistic wonders.
The Maritime Alps are just a short distance from the houses by the sea and they provide the backdrop to the coastal scene while also forming an effective barrier that keeps the temperature mild even during the winter. The longest cycle path in Europe runs parallel to the coast. It is a great place to relax and keep fit all year round.
